Have the itch to travel, but need to do it on a budget? Consider a motorhome: it allows you to move at leisure, visit attractions that aren't just outside the airport or train station, care for your needs while traveling, and save money on meals and lodging. Look for a used RV for sale for a more affordable option. Three major classifications of motorhomes make up your choices when considering one for purchase. Read the following descriptions of each to determine which type is right for you:

Class A

A Class A motorhome is typically the largest, most expensive, and most luxurious type of motorhome. They have all the amenities of home, plus G-sized tires and a large gas or diesel pusher engine. Most have at least two bedrooms, full bathrooms (some with a bath and a half), large kitchens, spacious living rooms, space for a large HDTV and stereo equipment. It's the perfect vehicle for the family with several children. Drop the awning and connect the barbecue grill, and you have picnic facilities for the entire neighborhood. This type of motorhome is best used for full-time living: put it onto a lot near a lake and spend the summer in luxury.

Class B

Couples or one-child families might want to consider finding a Class B motorhome. These motorhomes are the most compact of the three. Built on a conversion van chassis, the Class B has room for a king sized bed, a breakfast nook, a kitchen (where two people can't cross in the hallway), sufficient bathroom facilities for when the need arises and public facilities aren't available, and a shower (though you may wish to use a more spacious one at a campground). These motorhomes give you the flexibility to connect and disconnect in a matter of minutes, should you wish to break camp to see a nearby attraction. It's a place to eat, sleep, and watch TV on a rainy night. Camp with this motorhome if the outdoor life is of more interest to you. The beauty of a Class B motorhome is that you can park it on the city street, and if you're on a long trip, some big-box stores let you park overnight.

Class C

But what do you do when you can't afford the luxurious land cruiser but you have more spatial needs than a Class B can offer? Purchasing a Class C motorhome for sale might be the right option for you: this type of vehicle gives you everything the Class B offers, but is large enough to accommodate six people, and sometimes more, depending on configuration. Because the shell is larger and built out over tandem wheels, the bathroom, kitchen and dining facilities are more spacious. You can also drop the awning for a picnic, but maneuvering into smaller parking spaces can be difficult.
